The Autumn Day Trip Quilt is a 43 inch by 43 inch wall hanging or decorative quilt with colors and fabrics inspired by a trip through the Southwestern states during the fall season. The transition from summer to fall is my favorite time of year in Southern Colorado and I treasure the brief explosion of color that comes every September. The Day Trip pattern is a modern variation of the classic Trip Around the World quilt pattern, which is traditionally made using exclusively small squares of fabric in a radiating pattern. The Autumn Day Trip Quilt was made entirely by hand in my home, featuring intricate hand quilting, and would add the perfect fall or desert inspired touch to any home.
